Wouldn't trust with any unknown or major purchase

I have never ordered from Monoprice before but saw a good deal on paper for a monitor so I decided to give them a shot. I was given a shipping date when I placed my order that ended up shipping a full week after what was promised. When I got my monitor the overall image quality and build felt lacking, although I will give it a star for living up to the advertised specs for the price. I decided to take advantage of the 30 day return policy and returned the monitor. However, customer service declined to provide a label and I would have had to pay 1/3 of the cost of the monitor for FedEx to ship it back. Overall between the delayed shipping, the lack of return shipping, and shoddy quality(atleast with the product I ordered) I would avoid Monoprice unless you know what you're ordering and stick with a bigger more reputable brand with friendlier policies.

At first I didn't have a good experience, there was little communication, and the 3d printer I ordered for whatever reason wasn't usable. But then, Monoprice started talking to me (most helpfully, Laura) and I think I am getting a replacement. Very cool.

Wrong Item Gets Sent A lot

I ordered about a mile of cat6A cable. I was notified about the project only three weeks in advance which is on us, okay. I go to Monoprice and see they can have the cable to me in a week. Okay plenty of time then. I order and nothing happens for a week. I call and their website screwed up shipping somehow and it had to be sent freight. Okay? Just send it! Luckily there's still plenty of time for it to get here. It arrives four days before the project starts. Whew! Well one problem. The shipment turned out to be a bunch of home theater speakers in the boxes. Not the cable I ordered. Every order form says cat6A, I ordered correctly, Monoprice just sent the wrong item. This is not the first time this has happened. The FedEx semi was driving away as I cut the first box open. Okay, so I now have a PALLET of home theater speakers in my office. Now what?

I call Monoprice, glad to get a live person. She understands the issue, but cannot get me my cable in time for the install. Looks like we're loosing a $500 non-refundable deposit to the company that was going to install this stuff. Great. To make things even better the nearest FedEx location that can take a pallet of speakers is an hour away. Even better.

So a few days later I print off a bunch of RMA labels, and call support again to make sure that this was all I needed. "Are you sure I don't need a proper FedEx label?" I asked the guy. He says no, and so I load the heavy boxes into the back of a pickup, and drive an hour north only to be told I needed Proper FedEx labels by the hub. Ugh. SO I drive an hour back, and thankfully get a lady who knows what she's talking about, and gets me proper FedEx labels. I tape em' on and hit the road for a THIRD hour of driving. Gas is $4.75 a gallon at the time by the way.

I finally dropped them off, and they were accepted today. I don't know if or when I'll get my $1300 in cable, but so far I estimate their screw up has cost me around $650 in gas/ missed deposits. I have been offered ZERO compensation. Extremely frustrating. IF anyone at Monoprice is reading this, I have all RMA / order numbers and can confirm this story is 100% true. You guys really need to make some changes in the shipping department, because one time we ordered network switches and got a fog machine.

Great prices & products

I've been using Monoprice for years for all my cables, computer accessories and A/V supplies. Great prices & choices. My only complaint is shipping costs and slow arrivals of items

Great stuff and great prices. I’ve always been impressed by the quality of the things I’ve purchased from Monoprice. Never anything second rate, always top shelf stuff.

Awesome product

Awesome product! Definitely recommend it. The one I had before this of a different brand was complete garbage compared to this one. It powers off by remote and doesn't over heat which is key!

It always have been a great experience…

It always have been a great experience to purchase from monoprice…my only complaint with them is the price they charge for shipping…it should be free at least if someone gets over $100 of equipment

Monoprice does not care about the customer

I purchased 2 les paul style DLX 66 guitars from an email sale on 7/5/2022. they took my money and sent the tracking, Two days later I get an email saying they are having the guitars returned to them because they made a mistake in the email pricing, What kind of bad business is this??They will never see another penny from me. What company being the size of monoprice screws over their customers because they made a mistake and will not honor their prices? Well I can't really think of one because the customer is usually the most important part of being in business. Shame on you Monoprice. Terrible business ethics. They spent more money sending these guitars all across the U.S. Just not to honor the prices they were listed at. They are in California and I live in Michigan they made it to Ohio before the tracking said they were being returned.

Trash Products Worse Employees

Bought a monolith 2X amplifier, it burned out the tweeter on several speakers, exchanged it after arguing and fighting a non-existent customer service dept for six weeks, now the new amp has burned out another, refund is being refused… COMPANY IS ABSOLUTE TRASH AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I trust this company on everything they sell. I have not had any issue so far and I have been a customer for more than 12 years. But it is up to you. Everything I buy is Monoprice brand though.
